This Great British Beach Clean is organised by the Coast & Heaths Area  of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)

Lunch is not provided - you will need to bring your own. We will be having lunch somewhere as sheltered as possible.

Please do not attend if you or any member of your household have symptoms of the coronavirus. You should also not attend if you, or any member of your household is shielding or classed as clinically extremely vulnerable.

We are coming together to make the foreshore/beach at Bawdsey a more pleasant place for people and wildlife and preventing litter from entering the estuary and going out to sea.

Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them. Litter Pickers and bags etc. will be provided but if you have your own litter picker etc feel free to bring it along!

All welcome

Any questions please contact Neil Lister

[email protected] or phone 07920 577271

We hope you can attend and enjoy helping us to move Suffolk’s beaches further towards a litter-free state!

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
