Come along & join me for a clean-up on the shoreline below the base of Clevedon Pier!

The event will be 90mins long. Starting at 11am we will walk down the steps to the front where I will provide you with a short brief as to why we collect and record each item.

Here's what we will be doing - for about an hour we will clean the beach collecting as much litter as possible and record the litter as we go in the Beachwatch survey forms.  Please click here to find out more about why we survey and the importance of collecting the data.

Then we will weigh what we've collected.  We will be complete by 12:30pm, just in time for you to visit one of the local pubs or cafe for your lunch!

Some equipment will be provided, but please bring your own gloves – such as gardening gloves and hand sanitiser if you can.

It’s advisable you check the weather forecast ahead of the event to wear suitable clothing & sturdy footwear.

Under 16s

To comply with out insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental/guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.

Parking

There is free parking along the front where you can park from a maxximum of 3 hours, 2 hours no return.  There are side roads where you can park for longer of you wishh to stay and look around the shops and/or have lunch post event.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
