It's not too late to get involved in the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity in September

This international event will be held in Aberdeen, 26th-30th September 2011 and it's hoped the conference will discuss and find solutions to a wide range of biodiversity issues whilst reaching out to the widest possible audience from academics to stakeholders, industry, the public and schoolchildren.

Among the many themed sessions will be two run by MCS - one called 'Stakeholder Roles in Marine Ecosystem Managememnt' and the other  'Marine Protected Areas in Europe: a Sea-change in Perception, Policy and Law?'

It's not too late to for abstract submissions - the deadline is 31st January 20110 - you can get details here  http://www.marine-biodiversity.org/abstract/

Find out more about the conference generally here: www.marine-biodiversity.org/about/

Jean-Michel Cousteau and Richard Brock will be among the keynote speakers, whilst  MCS Biodiversity Programme Mananger, Peter Richardson, will lead the MCS delegation.
