Stay beach safe this summer

The RNLI are running a number of fun days during the rest of the summer to help you stay beach aware. You'll also have the chance to find out about the work the RNLI do to make sure we can all enjoy our trips to  the beach safely.

Dates for your diary  

August 22nd St Agnes Lifeboat Open Day – All-day fund-raising and awareness-raising 'fete' on the beach, with visits from neighbouring lifeboats and the rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose (operational commitments permitting). Demonstrations of rescues from RNLI, helicopter and Coastguards. Also, sandcastle competition, tug-of-war, games on the beach, BBQ and fun, fun, fun! Be there or miss it! 

August 29th Bude Lifeboat Open Day – A fun day for all the family with Bude lifeboat crew, rowing races, sand races, coffees, cream teas, music and singing, treasure hunt, crab catching competition, helicopter demo, hog toast, ladies guild stalls, sea safety caravan, beach rescue, disco, live band, fireworks, even Stormy Stan could be there!

August 31st Poole Wildlife Funday (Sandbanks) – A family fun day for beach visitors to raise awareness of beach safety and the vital work carried out by over 163 RNLI Lifeguard units around the coast of the UK. 

September 3rd-4th Cardiff Int. White Water Centre – A chance to try all things paddlesport!!  From the very latest boats, paddles and kit, something new like Stand Up Paddle Boarding or getting afloat for the first time, this event has it all.  

September 10th-11th Legoland Amazing machines weekend – The hugely-successful Amazing Machines weekend returns to LEGOLAND® Windsor with an array of action-packed activities, from thundering Monster Trucks to Roary the Racing Car and fun-loving mechanic Big Chris. In addition, the RNLI is bringing along its friendly mascot Stormy Stan for some fun and games.
