Did pollution warnings make your summer beach experience better?

Over the summer 50 beaches in England and Wales have taken part in a trial to provide beach users with pollution warnings. The pilot  warned bathers when Combined Sewer Overflow spills occurred, which could, potentially, impact on bathing water quality. The trials were designed to help the public to make informed decisions about any risks related to the quality of the swimming water before heading in to the waves.

If you visited any of the participating beaches, or clicked on their websites before heading out, we would really appreciate it if you could take part in Defra’s quick survey. The questions have been designed to find out more about the usefulness of these warnings and what you did if you saw one. It's available online until 30th September.
