MCS in Wales
Out and about in Wales
Dr Lou Luddington, MCS Welsh Projects Officer, runs the outreach programme, promoting all of our work in Wales. Lou is a specialist in marine biology and has a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm about our wonderful Welsh marine environment, which she is keen to share with you all. Lou is available to attend events and give presentations. Please contact Lou for further details by email lou.luddington@mcsuk.org or 07848464700.
Getting better protection
Gill Bell, MCS Wales Programme Manager, works on all MCS projects with a focus on biodiversity and fisheries policy throughout Wales. As this is such an important time, most of her time is spent on ensuring the Marine and Coastal Access Act is implemented in Wales and that the marine environment gets the maximum benefit from this new act. Most recently she has been working on the new Marine Conservation Zones, marine litter campaign and the carrier bag levy. Please contact gill.bell@mcsuk.org for further details.
Education
Getting the message about marine conservation to everyone is important, which is why we run the MCS Cool Seas Roadshow, which has some bi-lingual curriculum linked resources available for schools use.
