There are many ways you can help MCS with our work towards clean seas and beaches, sustainable fisheries and wildlife protection.
We rely upon our members for support and fundraising. So, why not join MCS and add your voice to ours. We can also help you organise your own fundraising event. Please contact the fundraising team for more information.
Help the voice for our seas get louder!
All around the UK, MCS supporters can join together in MCS Local Groups, or simply spread the word and promote MCS locally as individuals.
Spread the message – Do you know of a shop, library, café or anywhere that could display MCS leaflets and spread the word about our beautiful oceans and the help they need? If so, let us know and we can supply you with leaflets to distribute far and wide. The more people that care, the more we can protect our marine wildlife!
Fancy being an MCS ambassador? Do you enjoy talking to the public? Are you passionate about MCS? We need enthusiastic, smiley people to attend local events on our behalf. With only a handful of staff, we just can’t get out and about as much as we’d like. We supply all the info and materials you need and you don't need to be a marine biologist to help out! Let us know about an event you’d like to attend on our behalf, or go on our list to be contacted if we hear of an event near you.
Find a home for a collection box – if you’re fed up with wallets full of pennies, how about keeping a collection box on your desk at work or getting permission to display it in your local pub or favourite shop? MCS needs every penny that people are able to donate so that we can continue to care for our seas, shores and wildlife.
Our beaches need YOU!
Beach clean superstars – Join the army of MCS volunteers who are helping to turn the tide on marine litter. Visit the beachwatch pages to take part in the clean up on your favourite beach and make a real a difference.
Come into our office
Live near Ross-on-Wye? - Why not come into to our office and help us out - we always need a hand with data entry, packing cuddly turtles, sending out letters and filing. Even a couple of hours a month would really make a big difference so please contact us to apply for volunteering opportunities or for more details.
