If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing again and again! That’s exactly how the Marine Conservation Society feels about The Coastal Challenge – which is why we’re re-launching it for 2010.
Since 2006, supporters and fundraisers matched the distance around the UK coastline – that’s a massive 11,477miles – by any means they could.
With every step taken, ran, rowed, dived and kayaked, a staggering £46,068.53 was raised for MCS.
Now for 2010, you can do it all again…or you can dip your toe in the Coastal Challenge for the very first time. There is so much of the UK coastline that hasn’t been covered by the Coastal Challenge, so get out there, explore the countryside and get sponsored!

Why not take on a different challenge?
MCS has teamed up with Different Travel to offer you some unique fundraising opportunities. You could trek the length of the Great Wall of China, or work alongside researchers at an Orangutan conservation project in Borneo, or hike through the Mont Blanc seven valleys. If you would like more information you can download the Open Challenge 2010 summary sheet.
You can download a fundraising pack from here or contact Tori Williams to discuss your fundraising ideas at fundraising@mcsuk.org or 01989 566017.
