Ways you can help MCS...

Cause-related marketing

From watches to sun cream, jewellery to sea kayaks, board shorts and dresses, we’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing brands and share their products with our supporters. We will ask you some searching questions to make sure the product aligns with our conservation goals, but we also offer expert advice on sustainability and impact. You will be able to reach the rapidly growing MCS supporter base and a wider audience, allowing you to benefit from the promotional opportunities that this creates.

Employee engagement

Our corporate supporters often get involved on a volunteer level as well. We have lots of fundraising and conservation events your staff can take part in. Many businesses join in with Beachwatch to clean and survey a beach as part of a staff team building day. It’s a great way to strengthen the valuable relationship between you and your employees whilst having fun and raising money and awareness for a team supported cause. Volunteering outside of the workplace has added benefits inside – it’s recognised that staff bring new skills, knowledge, perspectives and increased confidence to their day jobs.

Project & event sponsorship

There are a range of sponsorship opportunities throughout all aspects of our work. A sponsorship could link your brand to a flagship event which engages thousands of people or a community challenge event in your area. We can offer added value through access to our supporter audiences and build positive brand awareness through a presence on our charity outputs in print, online, via our mobile apps and social media channels.

Charity of the year

Charity of the Year partnerships are a great way to engage your staff while demonstrating your values and interest in the environment to your customers, local community, partners and the wider business community. MCS has a wealth of experience in managing large and small company-wide relationships, delivering high profile media coverage and outstanding levels of staff engagement. From running marathons, wild swimming, holding a Big Blue (fundraising) Day, cake sales or fundraising dinners, employees all around the UK are raising money for the charity whilst having a great deal of fun and, importantly, coming together as a team.

Corporate membership

Our Corporate membership scheme gives companies of every size an opportunity to support MCS’ vital conservation work. Joining is easy, with different levels on offer and benefits such as promotion to our supporter network, complimentary event tickets and expert sustainability advice in return for your donation. You will be introduced to our supporters with a welcome article in our magazine and kept informed about our conservation work through our newsletter and quarterly magazine.

1% for the Planet

Do you want to contribute to our charity but are unsure how much you can commit to? How about 1%? You can become a member of 1% for the Planet by committing to donate at least 1% of sales to non-profit partners such as MCS. 1% for the Planet carefully vets each non-profit for their track record, credibility and impact and we have passed the test! Companies can participate in the network at a variety of levels, including whole company, brand, and in some cases, product line. Get in touch with us to find out more!
