Help MCS this Bank Holiday weekend and support bankers in London to Paris challenge
Whilst you’re relaxing this August bank holiday, maybe by the beach, perhaps taking a stroll to the local pub - spare a thought for a team of 6 Deutsche Bank employees as they take on a grueling weekend long triathlon from London to Paris………and yes you’re right….it includes a channel swim!
Enduro Challenge 2010 consists of a run from Tower Bridge to Dover, then swimming the Channel to Calais and finishing with a cycle ride to Paris – and it’s in aid of Marine Conservation Society! The six team members (pictured below) will pit their endurance and ability against five other corporate teams. But this is anything but a bit of jaunt…it’s serious and competitive and the team hope to raise a staggering amount for MCS.
Simon Fawcett (Captain), Hugo Elliott, Adrian Phelan, Eleanore Bennett, Rahul Batra, Michael Mohr and Joe Turner (reserve), will run an 85 mile relay taking around 9 hours , they’ll do a 30 mile swim relay which could take up to 15 hours and they’ll top it all off with a 180 mile cycle relay expected to last about 9 hours.
The team aim to raise £30,000 for MCS which is one of Deutsche Bank’s chosen charities of the year for 2010.
So if you’re reading this and feeling exhausted already, make sure you do your bit and support the DB team and MCS by sponsoring the team online now
