how to help

debenhams beachcleans

Why?

Wish You Were Here?No-one in the UK lives more than 72 miles from the coast, and the sea around us supports a dazzling variety of wildlife. We gain so much from the sea - food, transport and fun - yet we fill it with rubbish in return.

  • Worldwide, there are an average 46,000 pieces of plastic litter in every square mile of ocean.

  • Litter is not just an eyesore and danger to beach visitors; it kills thousands of marine animals such as dolphins, seals, birds and whales.

What?Guilimot

After finding out more about the tragic impact discarded rubbish has on wildlife, Mantaray wanted to do more to help. So, Debenhams staff will be joining MCS Adopt-a-Beach volunteers across the UK, and hope that you will spare an hour of your time too.

How?

MCS Adopt-a-Beach is more than just a clean up. The important part is finding out where the litter comes from. MCS experts are able to use the information gathered by volunteers to tackle litter at source on a global, national and local scale.

All you have to do is let us know you'd like to take part and then turn up on the day!

Beachwatch (c) PeterPhillipsAs an added incentive to get involved, everyone who volunteers will be entered in a national prize draw to win £500 of Mantaray Gear!
