Since 2000, the MCS Scottish Office has worked in partnership with a range of Firth and Estuary Projects such as the Forth Estuary Forum, Firth of Clyde Forum, Moray Firth Partnership, Solway Firth Partnership and the GRAB Trust to increase the number of groups registering with Adopt-a-Beach in Scotland. Numerous Adopt-a-Beach workshops have been run from Eyemouth to North Kessock, Dunoon to Cellardyke to train up new Organisers.
