In 2005 the Marine Conservation Society's Scottish Turtle Roadshow toured around the coast and islands of Scotland to raise awareness about the seasonal occurrance of marine turtles in Scottish waters. Funded by Scottish Natural Heritage, MCS Species Policy Officer Peter Richardson, MCS Wildlife Projects Officer Sue Ranger and volunteers worked with local partners around Scotland and gave Roadshow presentations to hundreds of people at schools, public venues and coastal events from February through to September. The Roadshow also raised awareness to a wider audience through countless articles and interviews in the local newspapers and radio stations.
