Protecting hawksbill nests with local communities: MCS funding enabled The Nature Conservancy to work closely with local communities in the Solomon Islands to protect their valuable nesting hawksbill turtles. They have now employed a local programme manager and a group of Community Conservation Officers to raise awareness about turtle conservation and combat poaching. For more information about this project, click here.
