Daisy's resident foraging ground appears to be an inshore reef located between Hambantota and Bundala National Park. This area is in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's south eastern corner and is quite different to the more lush coastal habitat at Habaraduwa, Rekawa and Ussangoda. Green and olive ridley turtles nest on the beaches at Bundala National Park, and juvenile turtles are regularly spotted feeding on the rocky inshore reefs (see below).
