If you find a stranded shark, please report it to your nearest strandings contact (see below) who will pass the information on to the relevant authority.
Record the location, size of the shark, condition of the carcass, any obvious or unusual markings - such as that made by propellers or nets.

However, do take care! Dead sharks are not be the most hygenic things to find on a beach. Avoid touching and keep small children away if possible.
