mcs silver jubilee

the sea and me

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is celebrating 25 years as the UK charity protecting our precious seas, shores and wildlife in 2008. This gives a wonderful opportunity to look back over the last 25 years, and reflect on how our seas, shores and wildlife have changed since MCS began its vital work.

Click here to read BBC tv presenter Kate Humble's sea and me memories.
We will also be looking forward at the pressures that our seas may face in the next quarter-century, and how we can all work together to protect them.

MCS wants to celebrate our relationship with our seas and beaches by collecting both your fondest memories of them, and your impressions of how they may have changed in your lifetime. Please help us to create a lasting testimony by sharing your memory, and perhaps sharing a favourite photo at the beach in our online gallery.

To see what others have shared already please visit the sea & me gallery. Click on any image to read that person's favourite memory of the sea. Please click on the relevant link to view favourite memories and/or how the coast has changed during peoples lives.
