MCS in the media

MCS is well-known by the media as a trusted source of news and information on marine matters. The degree of coverage given to our major projects and campaigns - sustainable seafood, clean beaches and seas, and protection for sea wildlife - is testament to our clear and focussed communications, all based on sound science.

MCS hit the headlines recently with the latest Beachwatch report revealing the amount of litter found on our beaches, achieving Marine Acts for the UK and specific to Scotland, and calling for urgent measures to save bluefin tuna. Last year, MCS played a pivotal role in the making of the groundbreaking film on overfishing, "The End of The Line", led the "Raising a Stink" campaign together with the Sunday Times, and worked with the BBC Panorama team to make the series’ most-watched episode of last year, “Britain’s Dirty Beaches”.
